Hamilton Zoo closed Tuesday 25 September

Just chillin' at the Hamilton Zoo
Hamilton Zoo will be closed to the public on Tuesday 25 September.

WEL Networks will be undertaking significant electrical infrastructure work and a power outage will be required during this time.

As the power outage will affect some of the electrified fences, all category 1 and 2 animals will remain in their off-display enclosures for the duration of the outage and would not be viewable by visitors.

Zoo keeping staff will be on site as usual, to care for the animals. Operations and reception staff will also be on site.

The zoo will reopen on Wednesday 26 September.
