Paintjob, maintenance for Hillcrest Library

Hillcrest Library will be repainted over the next few weeks.

The project commences on 18 March, and is expected to last about five weeks. It is part of Hamilton City Council’s ongoing asset renewals programme.

Both the interior and exterior of the library will be repainted, along with some minor roof maintenance, and the team operating the library will also take the opportunity to reconfigure the collection. Changes will also be made to staff-only areas.

The work does not compromise Hillcrest Library’s usual opening hours but there will be some parts of the library unavailable to customers at various times.

Programmes and activities regularly held at Hillcrest Library will be cancelled while the repainting is underway. More information will be available from Hillcrest Library staff.

Customers who are sensitive to strong smells may want to consider visiting other libraries while this repaint project is underway.

Updates on the project will be shared through the Hamilton City Libraries Facebook page.
