Repair work confirmed for Hamilton Lake Domain lights

Work to repair defective lights in Hamilton Lake Domain will begin on Tuesday, 20 August.

In May, Hamilton City Council’s Parks and Recreation Unit identified an ongoing series of defects which link 32 lights along Lake Rotoroa Dr, through the domain.

The fault was tracked to aging cabling between the lights, and repairing the original cable was not considered a viable solution.

The Council’s Infrastructure Alliance will carry out the repairs, which will take about four weeks and will see new cables, ducting and switches installed.

The park will remain open but there will be traffic control on Lake Rotoroa Dr past the worksite.

The Council appreciates the public’s patience while the repair logistics have been worked through, and while the project is completed.
