River path closure – New Memorial Park

A section of river path through Hamilton East’s New Memorial Park will be closed on Monday, 1 July, for the entire day.

The closure is to allow for a contractor to use a CCTV camera to check for debris in water pipes which run underground through the park.

This is routine maintenance work required to keep the pipes operational. The closure is expected to last for one day, and incorporates the stretch of path from Anzac Parade Bridge to MacFarlane St.

Path users will need to detour via adjacent streets – Wellington St, Cook St, Grey St and Anzac Pde.
