
Pitching a Tent
This inclusive physical theatre piece sees four old friends with different backgrounds, different personalities, and very different views on how to handle the world, take on a weekend of camping in the great Kiwi outdoors. Showing at The Meteor till Saturday 3 November and all shows are Relaxed Performances which are autism-friendly.
Waikato 100
This Saturday from 7am to 5pm, the Waikato 100 will be taking place on the beautiful Waikato River. The 100km event starts in Hamilton and finishes at Elbow Domain. There will be a range of watercrafts competing in either the 25km or 50km relay. Head down to the riverbank and support your favourite team this weekend as they take on the challenge to become taniwha tough!
MAKE Demonstration
Ever wondered how to make your own household cleaning and cosmetic products? From 12pm this Saturday at Victoria on the River, is your chance to see demonstrations on how you create your own cleaning products, moisturiser, night cream and lip balm. You will be required to bring your own chair or mat to sit on at this free event.
Hamilton Gardens Scarecrow Festival
The Hamilton Gardens is the place to be this weekend with all things scarecrow. There will be chalk drawing, face-painting, plants for sale and the opportunity to plant your own sunflower. This is a Friends of Hamilton Gardens fundraising event and will be cash only. See you there on Sunday from 11am to 3pm.
Origins – with Hamilton City Brass
Join Hamilton City Brass for an afternoon of delightfully varied music – ‘Flowerdale’ from Philip Sparke’s ‘Hymn of the Highlands’; the exciting James Bond theme ‘Live & Let Die’; and the beautiful ’In Perfect Peace’ by Kenneth Downie. Don’t miss ‘Origins’ for an afternoon of fine brass entertainment with Hamilton City Brass under the baton of Glenn Richards with special guest Patrick Macaskill-Webb. See you there!
