On the Move

Overnight road resurfacing for Forest Lake Rd

Road resurfacing work will be carried out over three nights from Sunday 16 September to Tuesday 18 September on a section of Forest Lake Rd, from Hobson St to outside house #46 Forest Lake Rd.

The work will be carried out from 7pm to 6am each night, and is part of Hamilton City Council’s ongoing programme to ensure the city’s roads are well maintained, .

Traffic management will be in place, with a one-way detour for eastbound traffic along Mitcham Ave and Storey Ave. Westbound traffic will be able to use the lane of Forest Lake Rd not being worked on.

On the Sunday night only there will be no access on to Forest Lake Rd from Hobson St.

At the same time we will also take the opportunity to patch repair a section of Forest Lake Rd by Bollard St.

Residents will still have access to their property, however there may be some delay at times to fit around work being done. People are asked to not park their vehicles on the road during these hours of work.

Some noise is expected, but the team will be doing its best to carry out the noisiest work in the early part of the shift. The work is weather dependent.

The Council thanks residents and road users in advance for their care, patience and understanding.
