A section of Hamilton’s river path network north of Fairfield Bridge will be closed for two days this week.
The closure, on 1 and 2 November from 8am to 5pm, is to allow for the pruning of several elm trees on the eastern side of the river, in Fairfield Esplanade.
The trees are integral to river bank stability, but require a reduction in size and weight to ensure they retain their strength and are not at risk of failure.
The path closure runs from just north of Fairfield Bridge, for approximately 350m.
Path users will need to detour via River Rd.
