Two Hamilton East streets will be under traffic control for two days this week for a tree replacement project.

Von Tempsky St, off Anzac Pde, and nearby Dawson St will be under “stop/go” traffic management on Wednesday 12 June and Thursday 12 June, between 9am and 3pm.

The traffic control is to allow for the safe removal of street trees on Von Tempsky St.

The trees on the street have, over time, damaged footpaths and kerbs – creating trip hazards for pedestrians, including those attending various medical centres on the street.

Motorists using these streets – near two of the city’s busiest intersections (Anzac Pde-Memorial Rd, Grey St-Anzac Pde) – are urged to consider alternative routes for the two days of this project.
