On the Move

Tree management operation at Innes Common

Members of the public are asked to stay clear of two sites at Innes Common over the next two days (30 and 31 October), while arborists working for Hamilton City Council undertake two tree management projects.

Near Gilbass Ave, two birch trees will be removed and will be replaced with pohutukawa in the planting season.

Near the Hamilton Yacht Club, two gum trees will be removed due to their poor condition. The trees are considered a risk to park users and assets if left in situ.

Arborists will have the two work sites clearly marked and isolated and park users may need to use short detours through the park, for their own safety.
